As the name suggests, the double-layer glass reactor adopts a double-layer glass design. The interlayer of the glass can be connected to a high-temperature or low-temperature source to provide experimental temperature for the experimental materials inside the kettle. The advantage of this design is that the experimental materials can not be collected to pollution. The double-layer glass reactor has good sealing performance as a whole and can be used for vacuuming operations, so as to achieve the best experimental results under reduced pressure and conduct vacuum experiments. Double-layer glass reactors have been reused in petroleum, chemicals, pesticides, medicine, food and other industries due to their excellent performance. It is a common choice for completing vulcanization, nitration, hydrogenation, hydrocarbonization, polymerization, condensation and other processes. However, the reaction materials also need to be considered in the design of the double-layer glass reactor. Under normal circumstances, the requirements for the reaction materials are as follows:

1. Compatible or incompatible liquids: Mixing of liquids can be easily achieved by stirring or mechanical stirring, and the heat transfer of the reaction mixture is by convection.
2. Heterogeneous mixing of liquid and solid reactants of appropriate size: In this case, these materials cannot be fully mixed with the help of a mixer. When the stirring force disappears, the solid materials will settle at the bottom of the kettle to form a layer of non-thermal conductive material. The following phenomena occur: the solid reactants are carbonized, the color of the mixture is deepened, a large amount of heat and time are wasted in the carbonization of materials, the polymerization reaction is uneven, the polymer components are uneven, and the waste of materials and energy affects the ecological environment. To avoid these problems, we can divide the reaction mass into two steps:
1. First add the liquid reaction materials into the reaction kettle, and heat the medium temperature to the melting point or solid reactants slightly higher than the reaction temperature.
2. Add the solid reactant slowly and stir continuously to allow it to continue to react or dissolve to avoid precipitation. However, this speed cannot be maintained for a long time, so precipitation and coking phenomena sometimes occur, and it takes a long time to complete this reaction.
